If the employee is applying on open work permit, then there is no need to submit any document. Open work permit is not for specific job and that is why it is not required a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) from Employment and Social Development Canada. The open work permit holder can work any where in Canada. To enter Canada the employee require visit visa first, while working permit does not allow the worker to live in Canada so the employee needs a permanent resident. Canada work permit procedure.
The eligible for work permit can apply to work visa usually from outside Canada, but they may apply form inside Canada while the requirements are the same. The process and time taking is different in different work visa categories. The spouse or common-law partner want to work in Canada then apply for their own work permit and have the same rules, employer will take LMIA from Employment and Social Development Canada/Service Canada, if required. If the employee is applied to work permit from outside Canada to a visa office outside Canada and he requires medical examination or visa is require prior to enter in Canada. An other case if the employee is applying from inside Canada if the applicant is in Canada at the moment and has valid work permit or his spouse has work permits or study permit. Or the employee have a temporary resident permit and its validity is six months or more. Or the employee have applied for permanent residence from inside Canada. The employee can apply to work permit as they enter in Canada and this only for a visa exempt country or the employee have valid medical certificate or the applicant have a valid Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), if required. Canada work permit can be applied in two ways like online and on paper based. If the employee is applying online ten he requires a scanner or camera to make electronic copies of your documents to upload and a valid card to pay the fee for this process. Then, check your email on the regular basis. On paper base applying the employee first require the positive Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) if required and a job offer letter. The employee also prove that his qualifications and experience are according to the demand of job.

- The applicant declared that he/she has enough fund to support him and family members in Canada and can return to his home.

- Have no plant to work with ineligible employers.
- Have no plant to work for illegal tasks.
